Museum of Illustration Blogger
The trip to the Museum of Illustration was an interesting trip to say the least. I love how close it was to our school; only one stop away in both the E and 6 train. When we arrived at the Museum of Illustration, I expected it to be slightly bigger. Despite this, I enjoyed the cozy vibe it gave off.
I enjoyed the workshop with David Curtis. I liked all the book covers on all the tables and I especially loved the work he did for IT; it was spectacular. Him getting married at the same time made it even better. I still believe that he could have been more concise with showing off his work.
I love that David Curtis gave us time to draw after he finished his presentation. I struggled to think about what I wanted to draw and I didn't come up with something until there was only 15 minutes. This led me to not make that much progress in my own drawing. I got inspiration from Erin Hunter's "Warriors" or also known as "Warrior Cats." I tried to draw one of her book covers, but with my own twist. This is the book cover that I tried drawing:
